Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the effect of Self-Efficacy, Financial Rewards, Social Values, Learning Effectiveness of Taxation Courses, and Job Market Considerations on the Interests of Accounting Students to Career in the Field of Taxation partially or simultaneously. This study took a population of 273 students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Accounting study program at ITS Mandala and Muhammadiyah Jember University who took their sixth and eighth semesters. The research samples were 38 students of ITS Mandala and 36 students of Muhammadiyah Jember University. Samples were taken using saturated sample method. For the data collection method used in this study, namely through a questionnaire with the google form. The statistical method for testing the hypothesis uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that partially the influence of Social Values had a significant effect on the Interests of Accounting Students in a Career in the Field of Taxation, while Self-Efficacy, Financial Rewards, Learning Effectiveness in Taxation Courses, and Considerations of the Job Market did not significantly influence the Interests of Accounting Students in a Career in the Field of Taxation. Taxation. Simultaneously all independent variables namely Self-Efficacy, Financial Rewards, Social Values, Learning Effectiveness of Taxation Courses, and Considerations of the Job Market have a significant effect on Interest of Accounting Students to Career in Taxation Field.
