Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the effect of branding, promotion, and education on the decision of a tourist to visit the Ijen Geopark Bondowoso district through the role of stakeholder mediation. the author collected 113 questionnaires from respondents who were tourists who had visited the Ijen geopark Bondowoso district and tested the simultaneous relationship with path analysis. The results of this path research indicate that the direct influence (X-Z) of branding and promotion cannot directly influence the role of stakeholders, while education has a direct influence on the role of stakeholders. Direct influence (X-Y) branding cannot directly influence travel decisions, while promotion and education have a direct effect on travel decisions. Direct influence (Z-Y) the role of stakeholders directly influences travel decisions. The results of the next path research are the results of the indirect influence test (X to Y through Z) the role of stakeholders does not mediate the effect of branding and promotion on travel decisions because the value of t count <t table. Meanwhile, the role of stakeholders mediates the influence of education on travel decisions indirectly, which means that the t count > t table has a very significant effect. With this research as the basis for new findings, namely the influence of education on travel decisions through the role of stakeholders, this research really needs to be considered for travel decisions in Ijen Geopark.
