Abstract

ANALISIS POTENSIAL BUDIDAYA PERIKANAN AIR TAWAR TERHADAP TINGKAT KESEJAHTERAAN MASYARAKAT (STUDI DESA GETEM, KECAMATAN PUGER, KABUPATEN JEMBER) ABSTRACT Freshwater aquaculture has several fish alternatives that have high economic value, seeing this potential, the management of the fishery sector must be managed properly. This study aims to analyze the direction of development of freshwater aquaculture. This research uses a qualitative method with an analytical tool, namely SWOT analysis. The sampling method is carried out using the purposive sampling method. The data used is primary data obtained from interviews with freshwater fish pond farmers in Getem Village, Puger District. The results of this study are that freshwater aquaculture in Getem Village can improve and prosper the community because it is able to open new jobs. The results of the SWOT analysis are that pond farmers must be able to produce high-quality freshwater fish harvests at affordable prices in the market and increase income and be able to take advantage of new technologies to promote in the market.
