Abstract

ABSTRAK This study aims to determine the potential opportunities and challenges of Siamese orange farmers in Umbulsari District, Jember Regency. This study uses a quantitative SWOT (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Treats) analysis method. The population of this research is Siamese orange farmers in Umbulsari District, Jember Regency. According to the results of the study, it was shown that the EFAS and IFAS calculations obtained a total score of 2.667 and 2.583 respectively. Then from the SWOT quadrant, quadrant 1 position is obtained. This position is very profitable for farmers, because a business has high opportunities and strengths. The strategy that must be applied is to take advantage of opportunities and strengths so as to minimize threats andweaknesses. Keywords : Farmer, Potency, SWOT Analysis, Siam Orange
