Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the potential of edamame farming as a superior commodity, describe the challenges and solutions faced and describe the factors that influence the success of edamame cultivation by farmers in Randuagung Village, Sumber Jambe District. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the aim of revealing and describing phenomena based on the perceptions and experiences of informants. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The findings of this study are the results of a description of the data obtained in data collection in the field through observation, interviews and documentation. The Potential of Edamame Farmers as a Superior Commodity in Increasing Farmers' Income in Randuagung Village can be a significant source of income for Edamame farmers. Because the potential for Edamame farming in Randuagung Village is quite evenly distributed due to very supportive weather factors. This shows that farmers see increasing yields as the main potential in Edamame cultivation in the area. The main factors that influence the success of Edamame farmers in Randuagung Village are consistent care, proper planting will help maximize growth and yields. and also the selection of superior seeds can be the key to the success of Edamame farmers in Randuagung Village. The challenges faced by Edamame farmers in Randuagung Village are pest and disease attacks such as leaf pox, which can reduce the quality and yield of edamame. The solution to overcome these challenges is the importance of caring for plants routinely and seriously so that edamame remains healthy and the harvest remains good.
