Abstract
ABSTRACT The Role of Farming Partners on Vegetable Farmers' Income (A Study in Dukuhdempok Village, Wuluhan Subdistrict, Jember Regency). Dukuhdempok Village is one of the villages with great potential for agricultural sector development, but price fluctuations and farmers' income tend to be low. This is influenced by basic production factors, such as land area, processing costs, labor, and number of trees. This study aims to analyze the direct influence of these production factors on vegetable farmers' income and to examine the role of partnership decisions (Farm Partners) as an intervening variable that mediates this relationship. The data analysis methods used are Path Analysis and Sobel's Test to examine the direct and indirect influences between variables. The results of the analysis show that all production factors (land area, processing costs, labor, and number of trees) have a significant direct effect on farmers' income. The decision to partner also has a direct and significant effect on vegetable farmers' income. Indirectly, the decision to partner plays a significant role as an intervening variable in mediating the effect of land area and processing costs on income. However, the decision to partner does not mediate the influence of labor and number of trees on income. The conclusion of this study is that optimizing production factors will have a greater impact on income if accompanied by effective partnerships. Partnerships are a key factor because they provide access to capital, technology, and market guarantees that can improve farmers' welfare in a sustainable manner.
