Abstract
ABSTRACT This research aims to analyze the potential of California papaya farming in improving the economic welfare of farmers in Slateng Village, Ledokombo District, Jember Regency. The method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques consisting of interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate that California papaya cultivation holds significant potential for increasing farmers' income through stable yields, high market demand, and efficiency in crop maintenance. Furthermore, farmers have begun to implement direct marketing strategies and improved harvest management. In conclusion, the development of California papaya farming potential contributes significantly to the improvement of living standards and the economic welfare of farming families in the research area.
