Abstract
ABSTRACT Student financial management is an important issue considering the high risk of consumptive behavior and difficulty managing finances among the younger generation. This study aims to determine the effect of hedonism lifestyle, mental accounting, e-wallet, locus of control, and financial literacy on the financial management of Mandala Institute of Technology and Science students. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a total population of 1,135 FEB ITS Mandala students and uses random sampling techniques to obtain 92 samples. Data were collected through distributing questionnaires and processed using SPSS. The data analysis methods used are data quality test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, R2 determination coefficient analysis and hypothesis testing. The results showed that mental accounting and locus of control partially affect financial management. Meanwhile, hedonism lifestyle, e-wallet and financial literacy have no partial effect on financial management. Simultaneously and significantly lifestyle hedonism, mental accounting, e-wallet, locus of control, and financial literacy affect financial management.
