Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the influence of emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, intellectual intelligence, social intelligence, and learning behavior on the level of accounting understanding of students majoring in Accounting in Jember Regency. The objects of the study included students from the University of Muhammadiyah Jember (UNMUH Jember) and the Mandala Jember Institute of Technology and Science (ITS Mandala Jember) at the Faculty of Economics and Business. The method used was quantitative with a survey approach, the study used an accounting understanding questionnaire as a data collection instrument. The results of the analysis showed that partially, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, social, and learning behavior intelligence partially made a positive and significant contribution to students' accounting understanding. In addition, simultaneous testing revealed that emotional, spiritual, intellectual, social, and learning behavior intelligence together made a significant contribution to improving accounting understanding. These findings emphasize the importance of a holistic approach in the accounting learning process that not only develops intellectual abilities, but also the emotional, spiritual, social, and learning behavior aspects of students. This study is expected to be a basis for universities in designing more effective and comprehensive learning programs in order to improve the quality of accounting graduates who are ready to face the challenges of the professional world.
