Abstract

ABSTRACT Sengon sawdust is often considered waste, although it can be a valuable source of income if properly processed. This study aims to explore how business actors in Sumberjeruk Village, Jambesari Darus Sholah District, Bondowoso Regency utilize sengon sawdust to add value and increase their income. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using SWOT, IFAS, and EFAS approaches.The results show that processing sawdust into wood pellets increases income and creates new job opportunities. However, several challenges remain, including limited drying equipment, a lack of skilled labor, and inadequate storage facilities. Therefore, recommended strategies include training, expanding production capacity, product diversification, and market expansion.This study concludes that utilizing sengon sawdust waste has strong potential to become a model for community economic empowerment based on local resources.
