Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the influence of discipline, interest, motivation, and parental support on the competency of trainees at the Vocational Training Center (UPT Balai Latihan Kerja) Situbondo. The research problems address the partial and simultaneous effects of each factor on trainee competency. The research method employs a quantitative approach with a correlational study design. The sample consists of 64 participants from four training programs conducted between May and June 2025. Data were collected through observation and questionnaires, and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that, partially, interest and parental support have a positive and significant effect on trainee competency, while discipline and motivation do not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, all four variables significantly influence the improvement of trainee competency. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for the management of UPT BLK Situbondo in enhancing the effectiveness of their training programs.
