Abstract
A company has to be able to choose the financial sources and strategy that appropriately, so that company can produce results a maximum profit. There are some factors that influence of profitability such as Total Debt (TD), Long Term Debt (LTD), Short Term Debt (STD), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Total Asset Turnover (TATO) and Growth, from some research there are often different result about those factors that influence profitability of company. The objective of this research is to understand the factors that can influence to profitability. The population of this research is a public company sector manufacture at LQ45 since 2011 – 2015 with technic choosing of sample using the method of purposive sampling, and the sample used was of 8 companies. The statistic method used was multiplied analysis linear regression by testing the classic assumptions first. From the classic assumption test because any variable TD and DER experiencing of multicollinearity problems exist, total debt was removed. The result indicate that long term debt, short term debt, debt to equity ratio, total asset turnover and growth with simultan has significant effect on the profitability. The results with partial indicate that long term debt and short term debt has negative significant effect on the profitability, debt to equity ratio, total asset turnover and growth has significant effect on the profitability.
