Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of writing this thesis is to analyze information needs and design and create a web-based online sales system at UD Fauzi Jaya in Rowotengah Jember Village. Data collection techniques in research are methods or methods used by researchers to obtain data in a study. The data collection method in this study used observation, interview, and literature study methods. And for its design using data analysis methods in the form of Context Diagrams, DFD, Flowcharts and ERD. The results of writing this thesis are: 1) With the online sales system (E-commerce), companies can facilitate the transaction process that has been conventional to become more modern with online transactions. Customers who are outside the Jember area can still make transactions without having to come to UD Fauzi Jaya in Jember Rowotengah village. 2) With this website, the company can expand the market. Consumers also become easier to get information about products 3) With the database that has been available at the company, it can make it easier to manage custommers at UD Fauzi Jaya. 4). The quality of information available at UD Fauzi Jaya company provided to custommers is getting better. Keywords: Design, Information System, Sales, Web.
