Abstract

ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF ACCOUNTING INFORMATION SYSTEMS FOR INVENTORY OF MERCHANDISE USING THE PIECES METHOD AT THE RINDANG KHATULISTIWA JEMBER. This study aims to analysis the accounting information system of trade goods inventory in Toko Rindang Khatulistiwa Jember with PIECES method (Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efeciency, and Service) is a qualitative research approach in data analysis using case studies. The results showed that in the Performance Aspect the inventory accounting system has been integrated with an accurate stock monitoring system, so that the available inventory information is always up to date and accurate. In the Information aspect, it is equipped with a computer system for each division as well as a scanner machine for the cashier and validation of user access rights devices has also been implemented. In the Economy aspect, the use of the Application System Inventory (ASRI) is obtained for free with affordable maintenance costs. In the Control aspect, data storage on a computer system with the use of different passwords and usernames, only authorized users can access it, however, on the stock-taking menu there are input errors that need to be corrected by refreshing the data to keep it accurate. In the Efficiency aspect, the number of computers has been conditioned properly, but the rights and authorities given to several sections cause repetitive work and hinder work efficiency. In the Service aspect, it has provided ordering services through the marketplace and social media with free shipping vouchers for certain purchases, however, additional cashiers are needed at the store.
