Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to analyze the development strategy of the Jember Coffee and Cocoa research agro-tourism (PUSLITKOKA). The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data taken directly from the research location of the PUSLITKOKA Jember agro-tourism area through direct observation at the site, interviews with research centers, community leaders, visitors and filling out questionnaires. Secondary data is data obtained through agencies related to this research, both tabulation and descriptive. The analysis method used is the SWOT analysis. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the strategy for developing the agro-tourism area of PUSLITKOKA Jember is a Rapid Growth Strategy. This development strategy is in accordance with the position of the PUSLITKOKA Jember agro-tourism area which requires a progressive strategy to support growth, through several strategies that can be implemented, namely: Utilizing several existing tourist objects to attract investors so that it can become a growing and more attractive tourism sector. Utilizing agro-tourism which is famous for its characteristics to become a cultural development area, especially in Nogosari Village. Utilizing a good level of soil fertility in the agro-tourism area of PUSLITKOKA Jember to plant fruits other than coffee and cocoa to attract more tourists to visit and have a vacation in the PUSLITKOKA Jember agrotourism area.
