Abstract

ABSTRACT One source of the local reception in Jember Regency is tourism sector. The tourism sector is expected to demonstrate its role in Jember Regency economy. Development of tourism sector is a thing that needs to be done by the local government, considering that tourism sector can support the economy of community and increase the contribution to the loval income if the tourism sector is developed correctly and well-programmed. There are several factors that affect the local income those are number of tourism object, number of the tourist, and hotel occupancy rates. This research aims to analyze the flagship tourism sector to the local income in Jember which is influenced by number tourism object, number of tourist, and hotel occupancy rates. The object of this research is Jember Regency, this type of research using quantitative or secondary data. Methods of data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the result of the study, showed that the number tourism object partially has no effect on local income. Meanwhile, the number of tourist and hotel occupancy rates partially has positive and significant effect to the local income. Simultanneously, the number of tourism object, number of tourist and hotel occupancy rates has significant effect to the local income.
