Abstract

ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF CAR, LDR, NPL, DIVIDEND AND COMPANY SIZE ON PROFITABILITY IN GENERAL BANK LISTED IN INDONESIA STOCK EXCHANGE PERIOD 2014-2018 BY : RIKA KRISTIYOWATI ABSTRACT Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Non Performing Loans (NPL), Dividends and Company Size to Return On Assets (ROA) partially on Commercial Banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.The population in this study is commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 20142018. The sample in this study was taken using Purposive Sampling Data used in this study consisting of secondary data collected from the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data processing method uses descriptive statistical test methods, classic assumption test, multiple regression test, hypothesis test and coefficient of determination test (R²).The results of the first hypothesis testing of the study showed that the variable Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) had a positive and significant effect on asset returns, the results of the hypothesis testing of the research hypothesis showed that the Non Performing Loan (NPL) variable had a negative and significant effect on Return on Asset (ROA). Determination Coefficient Test Results (R²) in the Regression model is 0.110. This shows that the influence of independent variables namely CAR, LDR, NPL, Dividend and Company Size on the dependent variable (ROA) of 11% while the rest is influenced by other variables outside this research variable.
