Abstract

ABSTRACT Organizational performance at Jember Class IIA Penitentiary includes all employees starting from the head of the prison and his subordinates. Employees must implement the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and organizational governance of this institution correctly. SOPs and governance of a correctional institution have a direct influence on the performance of the organization and individuals within it. Employee performance is influenced by several variables including organizational culture, human resource quality, motivation, and discipline. Some employees may benefit from additional support in consistently applying the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and governance principles, as these are influenced by organizational culture, human resource quality, motivation, and discipline. Strengthening these aspects can enhance overall employee performance and institutional effectiveness. Therefore, a study was conducted with the title "The Influence of Organizational Culture, Human Resource Quality, Motivation, and Discipline on Employee Performance in Jember Class IIA Penitentiary. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition of organizational culture, human resource quality, motivation, discipline, and performance, as well as the influence of organizational culture, human resource quality, motivation, and discipline both simultaneously and partially on performance. Based on the research results, it was concluded that all variables, namely the quality of human resources, motivation, and discipline, partially have a significant influence on employee performance except organizational culture. However, simultaneously all variables have a significant influence on employee performance. Although organizational culture is not significant individually, the combination of these four variables is able to explain approximately 55.8% of the total variation in performance, confirming that performance is the result of a complex interaction of these various faktors. The results of this study provide several important implications for this institution in its efforts to improve the performance of its employees. Based on the conclusions and implications above, it is hoped that further research can expand the scope of the sample to other correctional institutions or similar government institutions Keywords: Performance, Employees, Correctional Institutions
