Abstract
ABSTRACT This research aims to analyze the accounting information system implemented in the Mlijo Rambi application used by Bu Atik Sembako Store in Jember, applying the PIECES framework (Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, and Service). The research adopts a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the accounting information system in the Mlijo Rambi application shows strengths in the economy aspect, namely in operational cost efficiency, and in the control aspect, particularly in data security and access management. However, several weaknesses were identified in the performance, information, efficiency, and service aspects, which require improvements to enhance overall system effectiveness. The result of this study indicate that the PIECES method is effective in identifying both the strengths and weaknesses of the system and provides valuable recommendations for improvement to support more accurate and efficient decision-making processes.
