Abstract

ABSTRACT Professional nurses are very at risk of burnout syndrome, because they continue to be required to provide complete service to patients. In 2022, there are 2 nurses and 1 contract midwife who resigned from RSUD dr. H. Koesnadi Bondowoso. Burnout syndrome is a collection of symptoms due to fatigue, both physically and mentally which include developing a negative self-concept, lack of concentration and negative work behavior. The purpose of this study was to analyze the causative factors of burnout syndrome and its effect on nurse performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. The research method is quantitative research with path analysis The research sample of 189 nurses / midwives with sampling techniques using multistage sampling. The data were processed with the help of SPPS 24, The results illustrate that (1) there is a significant influence between factors that affect burnout syndrome and nurse job satisfaction, (2) there is a significant influence between factors that affect burnout syndrome and nurse performance. (3) There is a significant influence between factors affecting burnout syndrome and nurse performance through job satisfaction. For this reason, it is necessary to increase individual effort factors, organizational effort factors and work environments that are conducive to achieving job satisfaction which will later have an impact on the performance of professional nurses that are more optimal.
