Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted with the following objectives: 1) To identify and describe the factors that cause problematic murabahah financing in KSPPS. BMT NU Jawa Timur Kalisat Jember Branch. 2) To find out and describe efforts to handle murabahah financing at KSPPS. BMT NU Jawa Timur Kalisat Jember Branch. 3) To find out and describe the obstacles experienced in handling troubled murabahah financing at KSPPS. BMT NU Jawa Timur Kalisat Jember Branch. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study strategy. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that: 1) The factors that cause problematic murabahah financing in KSPPS. BMT NU Jawa Timur is caused by two factors including: a. Internal factors, namely the officer's error in analyzing customers during the survey, and the informants are not strong enough. b. External factors, namely crop failure, the covid-19 pandemic, customers do not have the ability and will. 2) Efforts to deal with troubled murabahah financing at KSPPS. BMT NU Jawa Timur, Kalisat Jember Branch, by conducting visits for intensive billing, giving warning letters, giving letters of reprimand, negotiating the sale of joint assets/guarantee, rescheduling, and writting off. 3) Barriers experienced by the BMT in the form of customers cannot be found, the customer's business has decreased, there is no ability to pay, customers run away from responsibility, customers migrate.
